"Within minutes, Star Wars enthusiasts and Walker non-enthusiasts alike descended like locusts, parsing every syllable of what was clearly a joke..."

"Questions from these people flooded Twitter — who is 'that boy?' Who is 'another?' In the original quote, wasn't Yoda referring to Princess Leia? Or alternately, Anakin Skywalker? And what does a woman look like in person? It was just the latest example of a phenomenon that has gripped society in the Internet age. Once an oxymoron, social media has given rise to the 'nerd bully.'"

"God help us when the dorks unionize."

Yup, they think it makes them smart and everything on the left today is about being smart, especially if you are not.

That was funny. The information tsunami probably does drive internet users to a pick single popular mythology to make them the go to nerd on.

Walker's name was in the story playing the Darth Vader villainous role, but it was a light hearted spoof.

Walker is likely riding his Harley Davidson over to Kohls' sale this afternoon with new coupons in his light saber scabbard.

They attacked the Walker quote because they felt that no icky Republicans should be able to intrude upon their turf.

If Obama, Biden, or Reid had said it, they would have celebrated it.

You assume he is actually in Wisconsin. With all the personal vacations he's been taking lately, that is a pretty big assumption.

I thought Obama had made that OK?

You want to compare days worked between Obama and Walker?

Oh yes and it was inspired, I thought, by Lord of the Rings, which was a Christian fable.

I disagree with your opinion that Obama is someone that others should look up to and emulate. He should have been impeached a long time ago for his various abuses of the office he holds. If the best you have is that scummy Obama did it too, then it really isn't much of a defense for Walker

And just wondering, how well did that type of excuse work when you were a kid? And does "But mom, this other kid in school also skipped class so why isn't it okay for me to do so too?" work on you when your kid says it?

But if you do have an actual count of how many days Walker is actually working in his office I would love to see it. The numbers get complicated by the fact the the governor considers fours hours to be a full work day, plus the fact that his staff keeps his schedule out of the public eye as much as possible.

(Can't help but wonder, does he still pack a bag lunch when he is going home at noon anyways?)

Most fans seem to want the original"Han shot first" version of his scene with Greedo.

Make of it what you will.

I am Laslo.

You're kidding right?

You're the Lefty...your kind have been enabling the Clintons and the Obamas.

I thought I was pointing out your hypocrisy. How about you point me to a post or two where you attacked Obama?

When Black people were given the right to vote, they voted 90% Republican because they realized how racist the Democrats were. Every innercity hellhole in the U.S. is governed by Democrats, many of them minorities. Every major racist act in U.S. History was done by Democrats, but today 90% of Blacks vote Democrat.

Times change.

Fortunately, nobody makes the connection with Murray's "The Bell Curve" in which he allegedly questions black's IQ. He doesn't. I've read it but it is interesting that nobody talks about it.

You're not allowed to talk about that, and we are destroying our public education system in an attempt not to have to deal with it.

You're the Lefty

You've been forced to believe things that are not true. Not only am I not "a lefty", I am surely not "the Lefty".

Don't believe everything the haters say about me. I'm also not Inga, nor Penguin, or Shortbus, or Garage, or any other names that some people keep accusing me of being.

I thought I was pointing out your hypocrisy

You thought wrong. And instead, it is yours that will be pointed out.

Obviously (and rightfully so) you condemn Obama for this type of behavior, so why are you giving Walker a free pass when he does it on an even greater scale?

How about you point me to a post or two where you attacked Obama?

Can you point me to a post or two where I supported him?

OK, so we've got Gov. "Sky" Walker running for President.

Who remembers what Sky Masterson was running for?

Sky King?

madisonfella @ 1:38pm: "Obviously (and rightfully so) you condemn Obama for this type of behavior, so why are you giving Walker a free pass when he does it on an even greater scale?"

Summary: madisonfella has no idea how much vacation Walker has taken, but he/she knows that Walker vacation time compared to obama is "on an even greater scale".

Really, what else needs to be said?

I have no idea how many stars are in the sky, but I know there are more of them then there are people on Earth.

Poor Drago never has been much of a thinker. Really, what else needs to be said?

If someone doesn't have an "actual count" that means they have "no idea" of many there are?

Again, Drago isn't much of a thinker. Really, what else needs to be said?

Thus does madisonfella "show his/her work" in regards to a specific claim re: obama/Walker.

LOL

madisonfella ("The Thinker")

Given that the # of stars in space > people on earth,

we therefore conclude that Walker takes vacation on a greater scale than obama.

#fauxintellectuallogic

Although we can only guess at what type of proof this represents (direct, induction, contradiction, etc), I'd have to guess "proof by exhaustion", but not the usual "Proof by Exhaustion" that informed "thinkers" might recognize.

In fact, granting yourself the "nerd" badge of honor in 2015 simply means you're intensely interested in a specific topic. You can be a "music nerd" or "movie nerd" or even the previously contradictory "sports nerd."

Sounds a little like the late sixties "head."
