Scott Walker says "you have to be crazy to want to be president."

"And anyone who has seen pictures of this president or any of the former presidents can see the before and after."
No matter how fit, no matter how young they are, they age pretty rapidly when you look at their hair any everything else involved with it. Whether it’s two years, six years or 20 years from now — because I think of Hillary Clinton. I could run 20 years from now and still be about the same age as the former Secretary of State is right now. The only thing I think someone is sane should want to be president, or should run for president not because they want to be or yearn to be, but because they feel called to. Right now, I still feel called to be the governor of the state of Wisconsin, and I’m going to do the best job I can over the next four years.

Wonderfully subtle dig at Hillary's age.

Waiting for the call is fine, but it's unlikely to strike you suddenly on the road as it did Paul (not Rand, the other one). But the key is who will do the calling. In the game Walker is talking about, it's not normally some higher power or even some other person.

Right now he feels that.

Nice to have the escape clause.

I believe him and think he is wise.

If it weren't for the SECRET ROUTERS , this Scott Walker fellow would seem like a viable candidate for the presidency. Perhaps "garage mahal" can start another DEAR JOHN DOE investigation of the governor's trash.

After all the Gruber posts, I am betting ARM, "garage mahal", the stupid Mark and madisonIngafella will all be along shortly. Like a pebble in my shoe, I miss those small, unimportant pieces of unthinking matter.

You have to be insane, that's why I might be called on.

If you want to be President you have to be willing to use thermal nuclear weapons. Who wants to do that?

Scott Walker. Not Insane.

Hmmm, fits on a bumper stick quite nicely.

Hillary is old enough to be Walker or Jindahl's mother.

I mentioned this the other day - conservative Milwaukee County Board member used her personal Facebook page to promote online fundraiser for her father's funeral expenses.

Liberal group files ethics complaint against Deanna Alexander

Supervisor has raised $14,490 on social media for dad's funeral costs

The liberal group One Wisconsin Now has filed an ethics complaint with the Milwaukee County district attorney and the County Ethics Board alleging improper fundraising.

^^^ What does that have to do with Scott Walker?

I think this means he's out.

Maybe he had a conversation with Paul Ryan and Ryan really wants to run?

Alan Greenspan knew every president going back to Nixon. He said that the only totally sane one among the bunch was Gerald Ford, and Ford didn't count because he became President more by happenstance than by ambition.......There's a kind of Catch 22 to the election process.

Firesign Theater's been there, done that with Papoon.

That's always been my philosophy--the kind of person who would actually want to be president is not the kind of person I want running my country.

True, except neither of them look like Webster Hubbell, so we can rule that out.

Tonette Walker is only 8 yrs younger than Hillary. I thought Walker liked older women.

You can look at the before and after pictures of *me* from 50 to 60 and you'd see much the same effect as is seen with presidents.

All I did in that decade of my life was grow vegetables.

Just like Hillary's husband likes younger women. But unlike Walker it isn't his wife. And he doesn't tell people to "put ice on it".

If Walker ran for president 20 years from now, Tonette Walker would be 79.

Scott Walker could ruin for president in 2044 and be the age Jerry Brown is now. According to Drudge yesterday, Brown is running. And he'd probably do better than Hillary! would, both as candidate and as president.

About Walker's assertion that you have to be crazy to want to be president: It is absolutely correct. Any person who claims to want to run for any office should be immediately declared unfit. Office holders should have to be drafted into running with campaigns consisting of opposing parties candidates declaring how little they want and how little they will do in office. No media should be allowed to cover these campaigns which would just be a series of publicly released position papers.
