Hipsters don't benefit from those with principles around them because hipsters assume principled people are only doing it for irony.

Glenn has it wrong. By making big cities more livable, liberals remain concentrated, instead of fleeing to more conservative areas where they'll upset existing political arrangements.

Would people outside Dane county appreciate the political effects of an exodus of Madisonites to the surrounding counties?

Stop and frisk is the enforcement mechanism for gun control. One does not work without the other.

People on the right are against stop and frisk. They aren't there. The stoppers and friskers are in NYC which primarily consists of a lot of people who drove out the people on the right.

I think libertarians are against stop and frisk. Law and order types are not necessarily against stop and frisk.
