Purchase of the day...

... and by day I mean yesterday: Starbucks VIA Ready Brew Coffee (Amazon Associates earnings to the blog: $1.00).

Many thanks to everyone — in every language except Yanomamö since there is no word for "thank you" in Yanomamö, the language of the fierce people — who've shopped through the Althouse Amazon portal.

I propose you begin a suggested item of the day. I've been looking at a coffee cup for my niece, and speaking of Starbuck's, this caught my eye, though I decided against it.

The product of the day tastes like fecal matter that has been dried, ground, and seasoned with nutmeg.

But it has 4 1/2 stars, so I guess that was the flavor Starbucks was going for. They know their audience.

How about THIS? Classic.

Pooped coffee beans? HERE you go.

"enzymes in the civets' stomachs break down the proteins of the beans resulting in an incredibly smooth, luxurious gourmet coffee"

Love the restaurant ware.

Coketown, I don't like Starbucks coffee to begin with; can't imagine it instant.

Too easy. That's Wednesday NYTs crossword level.

I like how the highest-rated review isn't even about the product, but about the theory of expiration dates. It's like the guy was so fucking wired he couldn't contain himself, and everyone else browsing the product was so wired they couldn't help clicking, "YES! this review was helpful." It's not helpful. And the last thing these fucking neurotics need is dissolvable coffee. Have a glass of apple juice or milk or...that Mexican rice drink that exploded in popularity here in Colorado once pot was medicinalized and then legalized. Horchata?

'ere.

A shekel here, a shekel there, pretty soon you have major coin!

I note that the horchata Meade linked to also has 4 1/2 stars. But only from 19 people, instead of Starbucks's 450+.

Horchata is the next Starbucks. Get it before it's cool. Retire in style.

Hey, goodlookin' Nick, we'll be back to pick ya up later!

I'm glad Meade is giving us these reminders. I buy a lot from Amazon, but rarely do I think about how to benefit our hostess at no extra cost to myself.

4% is higher than I thought it would be. If I buy a $5K home theater system I am counting on Meade buying me a beer next time he is in Ohio.

Meade said...

A beer? Heck, I'll buy you a whole six pack. Plus, if we're watching the Reds and Brewers on your new home theater, I'll even bring the brats!

Thanks, Eddie. Let me know if my reminders become tiresome.
