Greg Gutfeld is seriously seeking investors for a gay bar adjacent to the Ground Zero Mosque:

here

Apparently he wishes to have it such that they will specifically attract gay muslims. I await the exploding heads of the multi-culti crowd.

What one is after a day of paddling.

Looks like some of the landscape around Utah.

Nicely done. Are those the real color values or did you enhance a little?

Well, you could have gone tubing, although, if your skin is as fair as The Blonde's or mine, you might look like a walking stoplight about now.

Yes, that does look like Utah, just as long as you ignore all the parts that are, you know, blue.

At this point in the comment, I'm supposed to point out how the 'partiers are idiots, but I won't do that. Instead, as usual, I'll just let them show you what I mean.

Wow.

100% of truth --> This morning I dreamt I was with a woman who pointed out a tropical fish on the floor that had jumped the tank. I produced a credit card and carefully lifted the fish. It was dried out but I returned it to the tank anyway whereupon it came back to life and disappeared amongst the other fish.

Then I woke up. Got out of bed. I saw on the carpet one of the rasboras had jumped the tank. This was very odd indeed. I got a tissue, picked up the fish and flushed it down the toilet. Ha ha ha. Psyche.

So there I was, looking at this nice picture and reading the nice comments and getting ready to add my own nice comment, when suddenly I stepped in a big steaming pile of LoneWhackjob living up to his name.

Enhanced or natural, the rock colors create a beautiful play on the Copper Country theme, revealing the red/orange of burnished copper along with the oxidized blue/green patina.

Althouse blogged extensively about the Sherrod episode, even Bloggingheading it. She said she was approaching the story with "neautrality". Not that she was on top of the facts, though: She was one of the last to realize that Sherrod's speech was not referring to anything Sherrod had done while in the USDA, for example.

She told us: We learned much more about Shirley Sherrod, but we don't know everything. The context frame was widened, to her full speech, her life story as she chose to tell it.... I want to know more.... I suspect that they don't want us delving into the inner workings of the USDA, and they don't want us listening to all the various things Shirley Sherrod has said and will say. Why wasn't she on any of the Sunday talk shows?

Not sure why Shirley Sherrod was required to go on Sunday talk shows just because some right-wing slimeball picked her out of obscurity to defame her, her only crime being making an anti-racism speech.

Context is important, but we can and do speak before we have the whole context.

Yes, you were quick to participate in calling Sherrod a racist at the USDA. You told us "Breitbart gets results" -- linking to InstaPundit all happy that the "racist" was fired, and you told us Breitbart was about to release a lot more damning tapes along these lines. InstaPundit, meanwhile, was linking to bloggers like Gateway Pundit who were spreading further lies about the episode, and even trying to paint Sherrod as a terrorist-lover.

We are in the middle of a conversation.... But that doesn't mean the context can't be opened up even further. I'm skeptical. I want to keep reading and thinking, and I hope you do too.

And yet you were not all interested that when Breitbart went looking for ways to further smear Sherrod, he employed someone named Dr. Pezzi, by all acounts an absolute lunatic and crackpot, as well as a racist. Breitbart also feautured one of your pieces on his web site, a piece which no doubt made him feel encouraged to continue smearing Sherrod.

Breitbart then ran multiple hit pieces on Sherrod by this Pezzi lunatic with, once again, not even spending 2 minutes to check anything out. A further example of Breitbart's reckless disregard for the truth. (Rather ill-advised with a law suit looming.)

But that reckless disregard for truth on the part of Andrew Breitbart is not something you, Althouse, wanted to read and think about. Not part of the agenda. Not part of where you thought the story was heading.

Here's MediaMatters' expose on Dr. Pezzi, Breitbart's writer about Shirley Sherrod: Meet Breitbart's Sherrod writer: Racist sexual "expert" and inventor (who cured cancer) Pretty damning stuff about the journalism taking place on Breitbart's web sites. Isn't that part of the bigger context you said you wanted to read and think about?

The bloggers who were so interested in finding out the full context on everything related to the Breitbart junk on Shirley Sherrod (InstaPundit, Althouse, Gateway Pundit, etc etc) apparently did not notice this at all. Or, they consciously helped Breitbart sweep it under the rug. How corrupt are these bloggers? That's something I wanna know more about.

Breitbart has scrubbed his web site of this Pezzi joker. He has also put up a backround image on his Twitter account of Ali's famous "rope a dope" boxing match, and told a Media Matters writer: "@EricBoehlert For posterity sake: Do you think you are winning this round? To be revisited at appropriate time in future... Keep punching." He doesn't have to worry too much, though. The conservative bloggers will help him continue to make a fortune lying to the American people, and engaging in the most despicable brand of journalism. Interested in the fuller context -- MY ASS!

P.S. The Althouse blog receieves significant income from links from highly partisan bloggers, and from a highly partisan conservative blogads outfit. This blogads outfit has kicked former members off for not serving the current agenda, and has blocked conservatives (David Frum, for example) they judge as not serving the corrent agenda from joining. I'm not saying this is turning Althouse into a shill. For example, she is trying to persuade her many anti-gay bigot commenters that, hey, the courts are supposed to protect individuals' rights against the tryanny of the majority. But I'm skeptical. I need to know more. I found it rather corrupt how she did not take notice of Breitbart's latest embarrassment concerning his anti-Shirley Sherrod crusade.

Wow, it seems that Shirley Sherrod's pussy has hold of PinchingLoaf's tender pink thigh. I'm glad that Sarah Palin's pussy has released its vice-like jaws from his body or there would certainly have been a cat-fight!

I wonder which pussy will clamp on to PinchingLoaf next? And what part of his body will it go for? Some say his nose, some say his toes but I think it will go for his mind...

After years of being worried by Sarah Palin's pussy, there's not much left. But a resourceful pussy might find a morsel or two left in that gnawed and mangled mind.

A good friend of mine has some great shots of some of these same sea caves in winter.

Deborah - It's the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore (National Park Service).

Sand Island is a favorite camping destination. Accessible by kayak and canoe (not to mention motorboat), it's a great place to stay or just tramp around a bit. Big patch of blueberries on the north side of the island adjacent to the lighthouse. Apostle Islands are beautiful.

The Sherrods' racism in their own words...

Shirley Sherrod: "I don't think [Breitbart]'s interested in seeing anyone get past it because I think he'd like to get us stuck back in the times of slavery."
Shirley Sherrod: "[Fox] would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person."
Charles Sherrod: "We must stop the white man and his Uncle Toms from stealing our elections. We must not be afraid to vote black. We must not be afraid to turn a black out who votes against our interests")

Discuss.

(Related:
Counterpunch: Shirley Sherrod was New Communities Inc. store manager during the 1970s. As such, Mrs. Sherrod was a key member of the NCI administrative team, which exploited and abused the workforce in the field. The 6,000 acre New Communities Inc. in Lee County promoted itself during the latter part of the 1960s and throughout the 70s as a land trust committed to improving the lives of the rural black poor. Underneath this facade, the young and old worked long hours with few breaks, the pay averaged sixty-seven cents an hour, fieldwork behind equipment spraying pesticides was commonplace and workers expressing dissatisfaction were fired without recourse.)
