The only reason they weren't normal before was because his prior ones were fake. The press was reporting the public's opinion of Obama's transition as his approval rating.

I'll grant that the press may not have noticed, they all have journalism degrees after all (and we know from Palin how stupid that makes you), but shouldn't the word be "plummet" or at least "fall?"

Isn't normal somewhere in the teens? He will get there...

5 days, fifteen points...He'll be at Bush levels in four weeks!

(Isn't that how they do global warming and overpopulation calculations, too?)

So at least 15% of people are utterly vapid and know absolutely nothing about our President? What has he done to surprise anyone? Why on Earth would his numbers have changed so much? Were these people using the Inauguration as an excuse to party and were therefore drunk during the earlier poll?

Normalize? That's not what the article says. It says, let's use an actual quote, that the "job-approval figure puts him at the upper end of opening poll numbers for presidents."

The upper end is not normal, you math idiot.

I know it kills the wingnuts around here, but he's at the UPPER end. Period.

Normalize?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

LOL. The most hilariously, embarrassingly desperate comment yet from AJD the world's most angry and yet most boring poltergeist.

Maybe one day he can be as popular as Palin.

Cheers,

What on earth are you talking about? Although I decided against a dual major with math in college,* I'm pretty sure that, of the data set listed there, Obama's approval rating is within one standard deviation from the mean (mean = 60.7, sigma = 7.63).

*Chemical engineering was already eating up my life.

"he's at the UPPER end"

Good, good... Twice the pride, double the fall.

Since dissent is the highest form of patriotism, this clearly indicates that 68% of Americans are unpatriotic.

This is a very, very sad change from just a week ago, when only 22% of Americans were unpatriotic.

This is a sad, indeed, tragic day for America.

The article says: "Now that he’s in office, Obama’s approval ratings are starting to normalize..."

Johnny thinks normalize means something like "the return to a universal average." Therein lies his misplaced anger.

"Therein lies his misplaced anger."

AJD (Johnny BD) is entirely summarized by those two words:

misplaced anger.

"misplaced anger"? Is that like when you lose your glasses, but they're sitting right on your head? 'Cuz I can see his anger right there

Notice also that this is not a poll of registered voters, it's a poll of "adults". Polls which don't screen for registered voters almost always skew democratic.
