What becomes of a person who listens to "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted" while waiting on hold too long?

I have visions of many things ... I can't stand this pain much longer ... Cold and alone/No comfort in sight/Hoping and praying for someone to care...

Isn't this the first flutter of the wings of the Angel of Death?

or something like that, at least...

Well, whatever the hell version I was listening to sounded like utter crapola.

Ann: was it Muzak? Is there a Muzak version of anything that isn't crapola?

No, it was some irritating man bellyaching about his heart into my ear while I was trying to make an appointment about my teeth.

Ann: Maybe there's some connection there; if you think the music is bad enough, you'll stop thinking about how much your teeth hurt!

Wasn't there a comments section going somewhere, where readers were voting for their favorite nostalgia song? Head On, by Jesus and Mary Chain. They should put you on hold with that kind of a song, played LOUD.
