"I enjoy Trump’s hyperbolic, un-P.C. flights because there are too few operatic characters in the world."

"I think of him as a Toon. He’s just drawn that way. And his Frank Sinatra lingo about women aside, he always treated me courteously and professionally."

Me = Maureen Dowd.
Back in 1999, when he was flirting with a presidential run, I asked the ladies’ man how he would do with the women’s vote.

“I might do badly,” he said with a smile. “They know me better than anybody else. Women are much tougher and more calculating than men. I relate better to women.”

Why does anyone read that woman?

So I guess Joe Biden could take this as his cue to kick it up a notch.

Mo Do should know about being a "Toon". Aging lonely lady sitting on a bar stool waiting for somebody to come by. She even reports that The Donald has rated her a "3" and threatened to lower it to a "1". She's pathetically grateful that he didn't rank her down as a zero.

But let's not talk about her brains---

I'm often left wondering if Dowd is a mademoiselle, or a demoiselle? Her writing confuses me...

Dowd's masthead photo - you know, the one with the rembrandt lighting, the come-hither look, and about a pound of pancake applied liberally with a trowel - hasn't been updated in like forever.

it's high time the Times farmed out her column to someone, younger, more vibrant, someone with her finger on the pulse of fashion and society. I nominate Honey Boo-Boo.

In Dowd's case it's hemi-demi-monde - particularly around the caboose.

Dowd is too dense to realize she was being handed what used to be called a pick-up line. Trump's remark is the 21st century equivalent of "Oh, you kid!" and "23 skidoo!"

FTA: The novelist Walter Kirn tweeted post-debate: “Trump is simply channeling the bruised petty enraged narcissism that is the natural condition of Selfie Nation.”

Heh.

The "debate" on emotional issues concluded with a dramatic denouement, but the narrative continues to be spun by the partisan protagonists. Let's wait for the audiences' reaction to the critical reviews.
