"Governors and mayors have the right to know when the federal government is transporting a large group of individuals, in this case illegal immigrants, into your state,"

"We need to know who they are, and so far, they are saying they're not going to give us that information."

Said Governor Dave Heineman of Nebraska, where the federal government has moved 200 children, whose identities and specific locations are kept secret.

Hey, it's across the board....IRS, Justice, EPA, OSHA, CSB...

The CSB?

Great editorial by Kimberey Strassel in the WSJ on Friday about this little-known and apparently completely out-of-control federal agency, the Chemical Safety Board, which is doing whatever it wants and is utterly unresponsive to any outside authority....Obstructionism, bullying, lawlessness.

"The president says openly that neither Congress nor laws will keep him from implementing his agenda. That attitude now seems to reign at every body in Washington, down to the teeny CSB. Blame Mr. Moure-Eraso for dysfunction, but remember that he's just emulating the boss."

All this will only get worse, much worse, and the GOP has already called impeachment off the table.

I'd be very worried if I were Japanese, Israeli, or Ukranian.

I suspect Obama spent a lot of political capital to get many activists, union friends and federal agents of change on board toward amnesty, along with liberal consent; the business community and some Republicans to get something done.

Then after getting no results, he's decided to keep pushing and blame this particular whole unintended consequences mess on Congress because when it comes to compromise, given his backers and fellow travelers, this is probably as close to an 'American-middle' as he gets.

Barry has been angered.

He spent a lot on Obamacare and got it passed, and even though its a godawful mess, it's still a success for him. It's. The. Law.

So now, he appears to be using those federal agents of change and cronies to mop-up and bureaucratize the mess further which should be pretty familiar by now.

Don't worry, it's all being taken care of...

A lot of this behavior with (czars, peace activists, SEIU, the NLRB) makes more sense if I choose to think of him as a progressive, warmed-over activist and self-chosen agitator, sitting as a younger man at some meeting of the Left back in the 70's seriously trying to explain to Bill Ayers, Jesse Jackson etc. how to reach some compromise through the political process and his own charisma, but never getting too close.

I do not think it is an Obama administration conspiracy. I do not think they are smart enough to have put all this together.

I think a cartel lawyer saw a business opportunity in the president's statements and U.S. law and advised his boss(es) to set up the business of recruiting "children" in Meso-America and transporting them to the U.S., so that much you could call a conspiracy.

I think the bureaucracies in the countries involved feel a good deal of schadenfreude at the U.S. getting itself into such a mess and may well be helping it along a little; they certainly are not doing anything much to stop it.

I think the Obama administration does not know what to do, but think they might as well try to make some lemonade out of it to fire up their base and blame it all on the Republicans.

I think the U.S. agencies involved have varying ideas and policies, no guidance from the top, and their legal departments warn them not to disclose the identities of minors, etc., and so forth, so you get all sorts of things happening.

So yeah, I think it is more anarchy and chaos than intentional conspiracy.

But when we see a lot of framed timbers, different portions of which we know have been gotten out at different times and places, and by different workmen- Stephen, Franklin, Roger, and James, for instance-and when we see these timbers joined together, and see they exactly matte the frame of a house or a mill, all the tenons and mortices exactly fitting, and all the lengths and proportions of the different l pieces exactly adapted to their respective places, and not a piece. too many or too few,-not omitting even scaffolding-or, if a single piece be lacking, we see the place in the frame exactly fitted and prepared yet to bring such piece in-in such a case we find it impossible not to believe that Stephen and Franklin and Roger and James all understood one another from the beginning and all worked upon a common plan or draft drawn up before the first blow was struck."

And I wonder why they hate the Black man so much.

I am waiting for Afro Americans to have some kind of "WTF is going on here" epiphany. Few things to consider:

Is this a strategy to keep AA's "in their place" as a percentage of the population? Forget black genocide.

Is the Hispanic demographic the "rising star" for the Democrats to pander to?

Have AA's become a political liability with the likes of Peggy Jo & Obamaphone lady?

Will Hispanics really take minimum jobs away from the AA's, or do Democrats feel that the typical AA is too shiftless and lazy to take those jobs anyway?

Will working Hispanics have more potential to donate to Democrat campaigns versus Peggy Jo or Obamaphone lady?

Would not "hard working minimum wage" Hispanic immigrants make for a much better optic than Obamaphone lady?

How about the "entitlement pie" getting sliced thinner?

Inner city neighborhoods can be dangerous too - why the "war on AA children"?

So, Crack, who are the racists keeping the Black man down? Who are the racists banking on the Black man not having the smarts to figure this out?

Stuff like this doesn't happen randomly. Someone somewhere, like the President, gives the nod, and that's all it takes. A nod.

The most frightening sort of evil, to me, is the sort that smiles, is eloquent, and is handsome or beautiful. Here in America we expect evil to scowl and wear a turban, a Mao jacket, lots of epaulets, or brown shirts. Here, political evil is market tested, the way P&G studies, tests, and launches Swiffer, a household cleaning product, and that's what I think has happened.

Someone at the top nods while the nation nods off. While America Slept....

I think that there is reason to be a bit afraid. First, we know that gang members are entering this country mixed in among the kids. Hard to tell whether someone is above 18 or below, esp. when somewhat malnourished by U.S. standards (and ignoring that gangs often recruit kids under 18). Combine this with the TSA only requiring easily forged travel documents for these illegals to travel. No verifiable picture ids. Nothing but something that can be printed out on your computer.

So, what is keeping people from entering this country as supposedly children from central America, etc., and then using the TSA documents given them to travel wherever they wanted, and possibly trying to hijack a commercial jet?

This is the same "thinking" you use, to be ignorant of race, while going on about Dem "plantation" blacks - CONVINCED that's the language to bring us to your "colorblind" side.

Any U.S. citizen who handed a minor over to one of the human traffickers transporting these kids north would be guilty of (at the least) child endangerment. Even if the children remain in the States, their parents should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their criminal actions.

A corollary: The kids shouldn't be handed over to family members already here because of the possibility those kids might fall back under the influence of their criminal parents.

Human Rights violations are certainly happening. Every kid put on a truck north is the victim of a crime. Whatever else happens, we should be sure that even if we can't punish the criminals we don't reward them.

Dinesh D'Souza offers the hypothesis that Obama was conditioned by his progressive thinking mother and, in particular, by the mythology she created around his father, to believe that the culture and political system of United States was morally flawed from the get-go. And so it is not surprising that Obama came to believe that all of America's subsequent wealth was either stolen from the Third World or else created by slavery and greed.

Later, as an adult, the lectures and sermons of Rev. Wright solidified this world view in Obama's mind.

D'Souza thinks Obama's political agenda is shaped by his belief that before America can be reformed there must be a kind of pay back for its original sins--a penance if you will. Only then can the country be reshaped in the image and likeness of Progressive Thought.

Whether D'Souza is right is open to debate. But it certainly does seem that much of what Obama has done, and not done, can be explained by D'Souza's hypothesis.

Back when Nixon was president there must have been 10 books written psychoanalyzing the guy (how he signed a childhood letter to his mother as "Your faithful dog" or something like that). I see very, very little about Obama like that, and his childhood was utterly bizarre.

Just finished reading Bombastic Bushkin's bio of Johnny Carson....When he died he was worth $850 million, and he was bitterly unhappy, no friends (he never had any, ever!), four pack a day habit, four wives...The man hated his parents, especially his mother. Them being here illegally. They broke the law and the federal government is refusing to enforce the law and are trafficking them. They are housing and fostering them out on the taxpayer dime in secret locations where noone is allowed access.
The public and the governors have a right to know...especially if they are released and traveling with NO I.D..

There SHOULD be complete transparency as it relates to kids because do you really trust a bunch of ideological bureaucrats to take proper care that these kids won't be abused in the facilities or foster families being paid a $1000/kid plus free healthcare?

Also, have you noticed how everyone is ignoring the thousands upon thousands of adult illegals being ushered through and dumped behind this veil of children? Again, allowed to travel with no proper identification.

And by Bill Ayers, I don't mean the boogeyman Bill Ayers, I mean more of a warmed over radical type, now teaching Moby Dick, lecturing everyone about the sins of the past gathered around John Brown's body etc.

More a 'man of the Left' likely to think the spirit of the immigration laws possesses something wrongheaded that needs to be redeemed, then altered.

It would help explain the adversarial relationship with many of our allies and with domestic political opposition, it may do some work in explaining why Obama's approach seems consistently behind the 8 ball strategically-because he would see what's in place as needing deeper structural change by organizing and gathering coalitions of the like-minded to leverage whatever influence they can...constantly campaigning and rallying the troops. Unlike the Clinton coalition theres not a lot of worldview with which he fundamentally agrees about things as they are now, and why she's seeming more 'old-hat' these days in addition to other reasons.

Such a vision would have a lot of the 60's New Left about it, and post New Democrat even.

When told that it was a defense, not a stratagem the interviewer asked, OK, so what's the strategic advantage Israel is seeking. It was repeated multiple times.

Just read a couple of articles on Hamas & the current bombing campaign. The consensus is Hamas is seeking to stay in power by generating hatred for Israel, even if it costs lives from its base. In fact Hamas actually asked its base to defend Hamas positions an fighters from Israel.

This strikes me as eerily parallel to the U.S presidential response to the invasion of the southern border.

Indeed.

Consider:

“I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of "Admin." The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern."
