Anti-Scott Walker ad.

From his challenger Mary Burke:

Via Madison.com, where there are a lot of comments, for example, anti-Walker:
Walker's record and words speak for himself. He set up the standard. He failed because he refused train money, the Medicaid money, and the high speed internet money....
And pro-Walker:
Wisconsin has a choice. Walker has created 106,000 jobs in 3.5 years. Mary [Burke] destroyed 134,000 when she controlled commerce in this state. Walker has my vote. Wisconsin first - China last.

I own a small business (9 full time, 2 part-time employees)that does business mostly with other small businesses. We, the actual job creators, are nearly 100% behind Scott Walker. If we had a decent state media, he would be comfortably ahead. The Democrats have no issues, so they will pound this phony issue. Anyone want to lay out the Democrats' plans for creating jobs? I didn't think so.

Anti-walker comment: Walker refused to fund leftist pet projects: train money, Medicaid money, high speed internet money...

Walker refused to give us other people's money.

Yeah, he refused the bribes, the bastard.

Damn straight. No government can be a net creator of private sector jobs. They can facilitate or hinder the creation of private sector jobs through the tax code and regulations but in the net, they can't create them. Government job creation exists only in making more government employees which are a net drain on the economy. When government tries to stimulate the economy by giving money to cronies, they must first take from the economy. It's the whole "seen verses unseen" economic idea writ large.

Meade said...

If Mary Burke promises to: "get government out of the way of employers ... who will then help Wisconsin create 250,000 jobs by [2019], and as we create those new jobs, we will be able to add 10,000 new businesses"

... and she gets at least halfway to that goal...

I promise to vote for her reelection in 2018.

"Dead last in Midwest Job Growth."

Now you know why that halftard garage parrots this over and over...it's the official talking point of the left. Meaningless stat. Does not take into account population, so large states like Illinois, who are doing terribly, rank ahead of WI simply because of their size. Economies also differ quite a bit too.

But the big sell is not the "outsourcing" issue, but as I said yesterday, this:

"Wisconsin has a choice. Walker has created 106,000 jobs in 3.5 years. Mary [Burke] destroyed 134,000 when she controlled commerce in this state."

Add the huge deficit that Doyle, whose policies Burke has endorsed in toto.

Sure the press can run interference for Burke, but their will be head to head in debates, and what answers will she have?

Duh. More money for schools? Check.
Creating more good paying jobs? Meh.
Another vague pronouncement that accomplish by.... crickets.

What would a career politician like Scott Walker know about the private sector? He doesn't understand that publicly attacking a successful Wisconsin company like Trek doesn't attract business and capital to the state.

I am going to keep comment on file and bring it out in two years when you are trashing Senator's Ron Johnson's company.

I fixed Garbage's comment:

Lefties pretending to care about private sector jobs?

HAHAHHAHAA!

What would any lefties know about, much less care about, the private sector? And, since when?

If they cared about private sector job growth, they wouldn't have supported Obama.

I'm not real happy with either choice. I don't think Walker should fail on a promise and be re-elected. But Burke is no prize either. She is the candidate only because she can spend money. What kind of selection criterion is that?

I hope it's more than a coin flip. We'll see.

It must pain Curious George to witness Walker desperately running as a lefty populist in order to win. What next, a livable wage?

Lefty populist? LOL Not sure how criticizing Burke for pushing jobs to China makes him a lefty populist. So no, it doesn't pain me.

I would ask how supporting a out sourcer like Burke pains you, but I know better. Everything and anything can be cast aside ofr the cause.

Why not just run an ad which says: "Walker is bad because he didn't make government bigger."

Not sure how criticizing Burke for pushing jobs to China makes him a lefty populist

Walker obviously has no problem with outsourcing. Obviously. So why attack Trek? He's attacking Burke from the left because he has literally nothing else to run on. Even conservatives are noticing and calling him on it.

And, WOW, Walker loses Madison Man? Must be pretty bad!

He hasn't attacked Trek, he attacked Burke for her saying what a great job creator she would be while outsourcing jobs to China.

Walker has plenty to run on, eliminating a 3.6 Billion deficit that was created by policies Burke endorsed. Out performing Burke in job creation by over 200,000 jobs. Reducing property taxes in the state.

"Job creation" that is based on paying people with tax dollars to do nothing is standard democrat party BS.

So now we're channeling characters from the Parks & Recreation TV show? Literally? Come on, "garage mahal", this is mailing it in more than usual.

Would freeing public school teachers from forced dues collection be an achievement? I mean, if I'm a teacher who decides not to remit dues to a union that I feel doesn't represent me well and thus get to keep more of my own, limited and hard-earned money... Well that's a Walker achievement!

Have crime statistics skyrocketed? That would be a failure. But if not, then that's a success.

Has unemployment dropped? What about work force participation numbers? Is the Wisconsin budget more or less sustainable? Are public sector unions more or less likely to bankrupt the state of Wisconsin? (Contra Illinois which is racing toward state bankruptcy?)

Literally? Come on "garage mahal". Give us something else to mock. The old stuff to mock is boring.

Walker attacked them for not paying corporate income tax. Only problem: Trek is not a corporation. Doh.

Because your side has had a free pass in your blatant hypocrisy for years and it's time for that to stop.

Force little tyrant Progs to live by the standards they profess to believe.

Soon, we will tackle the misogyny rampant in Leftist circles.

What would a career politician like Scott Walker know about the private sector? He doesn't understand that publicly attacking a successful Wisconsin company like Trek doesn't attract business and capital to the state.

Trek seems to be sending their capital to China heavily.

I'm not confused. Trek is an S Corp. Therefore, they don't pay corporate taxes. Something Walker didn't appear to understand, and assuredly a shit-for-brains hack like yourself is unable to understand.

Meade said...

Garage, as I understand it, Trek formed as a Wisconsin C corporation in 1976. When did it elect to become a S corporation?

Also, when you say S corporations don't pay corporate taxes, are you talking only about federal income taxes or do believe that S corporations pay no taxes whatsoever?

But if you are too dumb to understand that concept, then just keep in mind that Wisconsin had 84,000 more jobs when Mary Burke was "controlling commerce" than we do today. Scott Walker has a lot of catching up to do in order to be as good as she was.

The point is you are dumb as a box of rocks for thinking we would all be better off financially if our food wasn't inspected, public roads weren't available, there were no enforcement of any laws, all parks and playgrounds were privately owned, and there was not a military in place to defend us.

Trek shareholders pay the corporate taxes directly, based on their share of Trek's income, instead of the corporation. I imagine shareholders indeed pay a lot of taxes on profits from a 900 million dollar company.
Do you think Walker was just unaware that Trek is an S Corp, like 90% of Wisconsin businesses?

Expecting somebody who claims to support something to live by their claims of support?

Yeah, that sounds real childish.

If you REALLY believed in labor, you'd oppose outsourcers. If you REALLY opposed misogyny, you'd be on the forefront bitching about the Clintons.

You're not. Because, as Fen has said, you don't believe what you criticize people about.

Now you know why that halftard curious birkel parrots this over and over...it's the official talking point of the right. Meaningless stat. Two totally different worldwide economic situations were in place at the two different times.

Burke has a WEAKER economy than Walker post-economic meltdown?

That the new argument?

But if you are too dumb to understand that concept, then just keep in mind that Wisconsin had 84,000 more jobs when Mary Burke was "controlling commerce" than we do today. Scott Walker has a lot of catching up to do in order to be as good as she was.

A lot of dumb liberals thnk that this all the government spends our money on....
Btw, private businesses are much more interested in keeping the food unpoisoned, in building roads (btw, when was the last time Wisconsin build a road?).
As for military and police, the libs hate them with gusto. Imagine madisonfella reaction if Wisconsin police were to deport all illegal aliens....

Scott Walker remembers creating jobs as assemblyman in Wisconsin . It was easy with ALEC. 32000 UNION public sector jobs. It is not as easy this time with out using your tax dollars. Scott Walker has created ALL Wisconsin`s budget problems working for ALEC. In 1997 Walker and Prosser as state assemblymen championed for ALEC with truth in sentencing telling the legislatures it would not cost a dime it was to give judges not parole boards the control over sentencing. Then Walker filibustered to stop sentencing changes after the fact misleading ALL the legislatures. With out the sentencing changes Wisconsin`s prisons quadrupled over night. Most people sentenced to 2 years now had to serve as much as 6o years. It shows Wisconsin has wasted 100 billion if you add the numbers to the state budget since 1997. Not including the building new or remodeling of 71 courthouses & 71 county jails & 441 police stations and dozens of prisons 28 billion plus interest. The total is over 28 BILLION plus the 60 Billion spent by social services to support prisoners families because the bread winner was a political prisoner as US Att gen Eric Holder explained. Then farming out prisoners in several states until the courts realized it was not allowed in the Wisconsin constitution. Wisconsin then hired 32000 union public sector workers to fill the jobs housing the prisoners from deputies , judges, district attorneys all owe Walker for creating there jobs. 32000 UNION PUBLIC SECTOR JOBS. This cost taxpayers over 3.8 billion or a half million per day to house these EXTRA prisoners per day in Milwaukee county alone. Wisconsin claims it has 24,000 prisoners compared to Minnesota`s 5500. Wisconsin`s corrections population is 104,000 with many in half way house and county jails and county prisons that are not counted.
