The comeback of "The Comeback."

HBO is bringing back my all-time favorite sit-com. "The Comeback" was cancelled after one season 9 years ago.

I said at the time:
I love HBO, but...

I am so mad at them for cancelling "The Comeback." I thought they were known for giving a show the chance to catch on, and "The Comeback" was notorious for the way people didn't get it at first. (Chez Althouse, we got it, but for some reason, people found it hard to get.) But only 1 million viewers saw the finale. I guess there's a limit to what is worth supporting.

What's wrong with people? The low popularity of that show makes me feel so lonely!
ADDED: You can buy the full set of the original "Comeback" season here. Highly recommended!

Kudrow was always my favorite "Friends" star. I'll watch.

Lisa Kudrow is funny, and it doesn't hurt me that she's a particularly and strangely beautiful woman. She was great in The Opposite of Sex. I'm going to have to give The Comeback a try.

I thought the show was incredibly well-acted. That's what made it painful to watch.

I was looking forward to the comeback of Arrested Development on Netflix, but I couldn't watch after the first two episodes. It has lost the magic.

Also, the answer to your question from your earlier post "Were we more sophisticated back in the 1950s? is clearly yes, on just about every front.

It seems like Friends actors are making a comeback themselves in cable tv.
LeBlanc's show on showtime where he plays a warped
Version of himself has a lot of funny bits and he's pretty good as himself.
I recommend the remaining friends alum to get with the program and get a series on HBO or Showtime.

Great show and I'll certainly watch.

I highly recommend her Showtime series "Web Therapy"

The best sitcom of all time is "The Naked Truth" starring Tea Leoni and Holland Taylor, which had the distinction of being cancelled by both ABC and NBC.

That it originally aired 9 years ago, and that it occurred after Friends aired, makes me feel older.

That was a funny, brutally awkward show to watch. Loved it. Miss Valerie Cherish and Marky Mark.

"I don't want to see THAAAAT!"

Rather than buy it, I wonder if it will be in the HBO package on Amazon this summer.

I got it!

Get over it. Many didn't have HBO, or watch HBO then, or hear about the show, or like it. Remember, you were lonely? That means only the special people liked it.

Never watched Friends. Saw enough to know not too. My liking for Arrested Development was arrested after the first season.

Maybe we can get another season of John From Cincinnati.

For seven bucks and change, I'll give it a shot.

WAIT! Does this mean Kudrow's "Web Therapy" on Showtime is cancelled?

Crap. If you like Kudrow and have not seen this one, put it on your list.
