"Frogs singing in Malaysian swamp at dusk judged to be 'most beautiful sound in the world.'"

"The most amazing, rich recording of just life — teeming life... And listening to it you really get the sense of nature at its fullest, and most abundant and most exciting."

It sounded good for a short while. Living next to that frog sound would probably grow old rapidly.

I like it because it's a warm weather sound.

Homesick Wisconsinites who move to tropical climes lull themselves to sleep with soothing sounds from their native habitat, like a snowblower and the salt truck going down the street.

Taking a cue from an earlier post, I think stoners would be mesmerized by the recording. Of course, they would be risking a long prison sentence if they tried to visit Malaysia to experience in person the jungle soundscape.

Funny (given my stated position on pot use), because the first thing I thought of when hearing this was a song by one of the ultimate stoner bands, Pink Floyd - "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict"

I thought the Muslim call to prayer was the most beautiful sound in the world?

What does 'Sound expert Julian Treasure' do for a living, I wonder.

There can't be much of a market for identifying obscure sounds.

The frog songs are wonderful, but if they stop suddenly...chamber a round.

It's the sound of silence on my computer, No idea why.

That, David, is the most beautiful sound in the world. This is just frogs croaking. Fairly standard wetlands at night.

Beauty must be in the ear of the beholder.

Nope, the most beautiful sound in the world is the door closing behind you as you walk out of the building at the end of the work day.

No, remember the president has said that the most beautiful sound in the world is the muslim call to prayer.

How dare you contradict him?
