Everyone smiles as you drift through the landscape and stand so incredibly high.

There seems to be a hell of a lot more canine diversity in Madison than human diversity.

Whippets are the sweetest dogs and splendid to watch in full run.

Beauty of a scythed-long lawn, with dog.

I don't get the sweaters. Dog's internal temps run at 105*. They run warm and they have a built in sweater called fur. And Lucy the dog would be more appropriately placed after the track "Good Morning" from the same album.

It's called accessorizing your pet. My teenaged daughter tried it for a while with our dog but the dog rejected it.

It's hunting season, so putting a red coat on Lucy (or on Professor Rufus) is not a bad idea.

Where are the diamonds?

Play the album for Lucy. As Day in the Life fades from the last coda there's a treat in the run off grooves of the album just for dogs that we can't hear. Paul and Brian Wilson giggled over that one....

You do know that the "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" song was about LSD. Right?

From Wiki, the Tale I've Heard:

Lennon's inspiration for the song came when his son, Julian, showed him a nursery school drawing he called "Lucy - in the sky with diamonds", depicting his classmate, Lucy O'Donnell (later Mrs Vodden), who died in 2009.

Lennon Stood By This. My Take: May or May Not Be True, But the Bigger Picture:

One of the Biggest Beatles' Songs -- Hey Jude -- Was Written To Julian Lennon By McCartney as a Song of Keeping Spirit in Tough Times. Lennon Wrote About Cheating on Julian's Mother in "Norwegian Wood".

Perhaps Lennon Clung to the LSD = Julian's-Painting-Story to Try to Show That His Son Had at Least Some Part in His Life, Rather than Just a Lysergic Hymn to Hallucinogenics.

He Wrote Several Songs about His Son With Yoko, So All is Good.

Imagine No John Lennon: It's Easy if You Try.

Greyhounds lose their body heat quite quickly. Their fur is not enough to regulate temperature in cold weather. It is recommended to cover them with a coat or sweater when the temperature is below 32 degrees with wind chill factored in.

So...dogs in clothes...I thought it was just a Yankee thing. But ya'll did have some reason for it (beyond aces...axcess...excees...just puttin' clothes on a dog)

Now cats in clothes...that's pure dee funny!

Ps.

I've heard of ranchers in CO spray paintin' "COW" on the sides of their steers during huntin' season. SMH.

Story time!!11111111111!!!!11

These 2 old boys from La Bayou was comin' home from a huntin' trip up in Michegon when they were pulled over by a KY game warden(ours can issue traffic citations)

"Where you boys headed?" the GW asked.

Inside the pickup were two old codgers with beards that made ZZTOP weep with envy.

"Back ta' home in de' swamp. We been in de' yupper huntin' dem mooses."

The warden looks in the back of the truck and there is indeed a big moose, dead, with a bullet hole in its left hoof, a bullet hole in its right hoof, and one right between its eyes. Next to the moose was a dead bear.

"Looks like you boys did more than moose huntin'" the warden remarks.

"Ayep," sez the cajun,"We gots him de' bery firs' day. Wasn' no fun a-tall. So we wents huntin' 'dem big ba'r!"

The bear had a bullet hole in its left paw, a bullet hole in its right paw, and one between its eyes. Next to the bear was a wolf, a fox, a badger, a deer, a porcupine, and a lynx. They all had a bullet hole in the left paw, a bullet hole in the right paw, and one between the eyes.

"Well boys, you look like you had some mighty good luck. I won't delay you any longer. I got to say though that that's some mighty fine shootin'. I do have one question though. Why do all the animals have a bullet hole in their left paw, their right paw, and one between their eyes?"

"Well sir", said the cajun driving "when we hit 'dem wit' de spotlight, de all go like dis!" and claps his hands over his eyes to demonstrate.
