Protesters heckle Tammy Baldwin on Syria by singing “Which side are you on?” at the Fighting Bob Fest.

Internal divisions on the left.
U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., ... who opposed strikes in Kosovo, Iraq and Libya -- said she would continue asking President Barack Obama’s administration “tough questions” to further the debate.
She wouldn't say how she would vote.

ADDED: It looked like this:

Could not happen to a nicer gal. choosing party over principles.

That has got to hurt the brand and fund raising

Keep on asking those tough questions. If that doesn't work you can always send a strongly worded letter.

In his political ploy to hang Syria around Congress' neck, Obama's thrown Tammy under the bus. At least she has a lot of company.

The toughest question of all: Are we going to trust Syria/Russia on Russia's securing of Syria's weapons?

It has all sorts of up sides: No bombs; no one has to die.

But: Russia wins. Is this a zero-sum game [by Russia winning, does Obama, de facto lose?] Or, can both win?

Tough question #1: Does this dress (slash pantsuit) make me look fat?

No man wants to hear that question from a woman.

In video form. It seemed much more dramatic in person. She handled it pretty well though I think.

She was right about Kosovo and now Libya (This is the Obama-made disaster, where he deposed a contained dictator, right?). As for Iraq, Huessein determined his fate with an invasion of a sovereign nation, followed by a refusal to comply with the terms of a cease fire. For whatever reason, he willfully provided the ammunition for his execution. The question was not if he should be removed, but if it was America who should do it. As long as we had a vested interest, then the conclusion was inevitable.

Is there a sentient being who is surprised at all by this squirming? This is the mother of all Hypocrisy Watches. Bring lots of beer and pretzels.

She's unsure?

No way is she unsure. She's gung-ho because her DEMOCRAT president is for it.

We know what she would be saying if GWB was President.

Well, I'm glad there are some on the left who put principles before partisan loyalty. Good for them. However...

Baldwin criticized Republicans ...
“Here’s my analysis: We won,” Baldwin said. “Get over it, and get to work with us"

I cannot express (not in a family blog, anyway) how little this causes me to brim over with bipartisan bonhomie and good feelings.

I thought both Wisconsin senators were against the itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny moral norm bikini strike. Interesting to see Baldwin balking. But I think she won't be re-elected if she does this because you can see the Dem party activists are against it.

Does anyone find it odd that there has been no articles (at least I have seen) covering the history of how Syria got WMD in the first place? It was the USSR/Russia. Why on earth would anyone expect these birds to be a fair broker between the west and Syria? I guess Obama is so desperate he would grasp at any life preserver even if it has an anchor attached.

Gk1, exactly right.
So why are smart people saying that Russiais "helping " Obama by taking this to the international community as opposed to allowing Obama to hold the regime accountable?
Its totally in Russias interest to prop up the Assad regime and to put this into UN's hands where they have veto power over any action against Syria.

Russia is our number one geo political foe in the world right now. We need to remember that anytime Russia offers to "help" us.

And we also know what the republicans would be saying if this occured during GWB's tenure. Would there really be a question about whether Bush should honor his red line ultimatum? Would they be a question as to Russia's intent. Wu.d they really argue that somehow not holding Syria, a proxy stae of Iran, to account for actually using chemical weapons was good for the presidency.

There's a lot of hypocrisy going around.

Communist Karl Marx Endorsed by Obama as the Next President?

Obama Supporters Sign Fake Petition Supporting Karl Marx For President in 2016 as the Candidate for the Democrat Party After Being Told "Obama Has Endorsed Him." Filmed in San Diego, California.

Tammy will vote on war with Syria as she has been told to do so by the Obama Administration!
