"I have a soft spot for Joe Biden. I like him. But he’s dumb as an ashtray."

Said Roger Ailes. He also said: "I like Marco Rubio.... But I don’t know about as a vice-presidential candidate. He’s a nice guy, and that role requires kicking the crap out of your opponents.

I think that's insulting.

To ashtrays. They at least provide a useful function.

Sorry, Roger, ashtrays are fit for purpose.

I dunno what possible purpose Joe is serving in gov't.

Well, it's a good thing Rubio will be the next President and not Vice President.

What has happened to our country where someone thinks the Vice President, which is a nothing job, requires a violent mind set?

I made an ashtray in second grade (certainly an expulsion offense today). My parents faked appreciation for the quality of it. I doubt they could pull that off if I brought home Biden, even with some faux fur glued on top.

The problem wasn't that people had a soft spot for Joe Biden.

The problem was that so many women had a wet spot for Barack Obama and they voted with their ladyparts and not logic.

They saw Romney as their second husband. The one that took away their charge cards.

They know that their imaginary boyfreind Barry will never do that!

I don't know about ashtrays but I've seen doorknobs that are brighter than Joe Biden. Kind of makes you wonder about the guy who selected him for the job, doesn't it? For that matter, why did the people of his state keep electing him? Did they just want to get him out of town?

Well, it's a good thing Rubio will be the next President and not Vice President.

The man I like to think will be our next President is currently on hour 5 of a filibuster of the Brennan nomination. The main point of concern is the President's assertion of a right to assassinate Americans inside this country.

So far Paul's been joined by three other Republicans and one Democrat.

Fightin' Joe Biden, standing at his father's side at the local union hall in Scranton, rolling up his sleeves at the watering hole in Dover, standing up for the workin' man, taking that Amtrak for years.

Sittin' at the beer summit with an O'Douls, Borkin' all opponents.

The GOP doesn't have anyone men willing to kick ass. Yup Sarah Palin has a bigger SET of you-know-what they any of them.

Sure, nothing says ass-kicker like the word ashtray.

WTF?

Baron - I think the simpler explanation is young single women vote for Democrats by 70/30 because they perceive they will get some kind of government benefits out of it even if they are currently not on any. F.e., they are in favor of "gender equality" measures in workplaces and vote for Democrats based on that.

I've never considered the IQ of an ashtray. A box of rocks, a bag of hammers, a post, dirt, a rock, and many other things, but never an ashtray.

As for Biden, if you put his brain on the edge of a razor blade, it'd look like a BB rolling down the interstate.

A drone strike on Obama by a pissed off Holder (apparently constitutional going by Holder's non-answer to Senator Cruz) and there you have a nice affable dumb as a stump President Biden. Sounds like a plan. What would piss off Holder enough to have him order a drone strike on Obama? Perhaps Obama calling him a Clinton Uncle Tom lackey.

Note to self: when someone hands me a card which is to be used for evaluation purposes, don't trust that they've done their homework.

Impeachment insurance. Duh.

And assassination insurance. Even if you hate America, the thought of President Biden has got to be frightening. Hell, he might start a nuclear war as a practical joke, or because someone unexpectedly knocked on the door. "Just aim those MIRVs at the door and blast away!"

President Biden's Inauguration Address: You fear filled bitter clingers, you have my permission to go out on your balconies, if you have balconies, and fire your double barreled shotguns into the air. That should take care of your silly home invasion fears. You can disperse now and return to doing whatever you do that keeps the money rolling in. Dis-s-s-smissed!

What's the quickest way to get a Republican POTUS before '16?

Remove Barry and have Joe declared non compos mentis.

Rand Paul is nine hours in. Still coherent, too.

Bob Ellison said...

Paul sets an interesting example. He's risking making himself look foolish, testing his ability to stand and talk for hours on end, just for a principle that he believes in.

Obama, by contrast, has threatened to veto any bill that grants him the power to handle the sequester according to his best judgment. Obama is probably already in bed.

I still don't get why people like Joe Biden. Do they feel superior to him? Biden is clearly stupid but smart enough to acknowledge that he's not as bright as others and the others appreciate that and like him for it. Maybe that's it.

Small Dead Animals pulled a quote about R&D. Kay says she once suggested Saskatchewan not be foremost among wind energy developers, rather they should concentrate on what they have most and what they do best and let other countries that have dearer need pay for the development, then invest after they've worked out the bugs.

And Ailes says let CNN develop the framistan, something that keeps needing a new framistan. His favorite word from an I Love Lucy episode. (Commenter corrected framistat.)

==============
Of course its constitutional. No different than monitoring or even firing on "bad guys" using other airborne platforms operated by the "Government Heroes in Uniform, Who Serve".
(And who liberals and right-wingers profess to have unbridled love for).

A drone operated by "Heroes Who Serve" is functionally no different than using their counterparts IN the machine gun biplane hunting Mexican bandits raiding across our border in 1918, Hero cop snipers in helicopters with orders to shoot the rogue cop at Big Bear if he did not surrender.

And of course, having jets over America shoot down planes full of US Citizens with a plethora of precious Constitutional Rights should their plane be hijacked by adherents of Dubya Bush's "Religion of Peace".

Nor does Obama "have to personally give the order to kill a rogue US citizen that is a clear and present danger to public safety". That is Hollywood.

Set the rules of engagement, delegate down.

After action is taken, then all sorts of debate can happen if Anwar al-Awlaki was a "clear and present danger" simply because he was recruiting and planning actions within the US where Muslim US citizens or immigrants would kill infidel Americans....

Biden is dumb but dishonest. He told Clarance Thomas, when Biden was chair of the Judiciary Committee, that his confirmation hearing would be a snap when he knew about Anita Hill and her paranoid fantasies. He was setting Thomas up. What he did to Bork was as bad but Kennedy was the villain there, IMHO.

Marco Rubio is not eligible to be VP. He was born of resident alien parents, not US citizens. Do you think it's a coincidence that he and Cruz and Jindal are being talked up with the Usurper domestic enemy Obama in the WH?

Rubio's parents are "improper ascendants ("improper ancestors"--- see Federalist 68, and Rubio was born a Cuban citizen. Obama Sr. was a British subject, and Obama was born a British subject, of a British subject father--- and is thus not a natural born Citizen.

VPs also must be natural born Citizens
" But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States". (12th Amendment)

Of course the Blog prof ignores the Usurpation of the Presidency despite the fact she teaches the law. Those kids are probably not learning much.

Get a clue "blog prof", there is no "USA" or "Constitution", since the President, who is the executor of the laws, is an illegal entity. Why do you think Drones, NDAA, Benghazi, Obamacare, Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Trillions given away to banks, and John Corzine walking free are allowed to happen? The law is now what evil men say it is. All those ignoring the Usurpation deserve what is coming and have no protection of any Constitution because it is now defunct.
The Blog prof played a part in allowing it, and not alerting the public.
