Sweet. Reminds me of "I Spy" books; I wonder if Walter Wick has photographed this place, or borrowed stuff for his sets.

There is also a place like this in North Carolina on Hwy 168 (IMS) on the way to the Outer Banks.

I haven't been there. But it kind of feels like being here. No stolen thoughts or limbs, it's all curious. And well-intentioned. Stimulating, and fun.

Looks like our living room every March.

At which point one of us says, "OK, this stuff has got to go".

WV "mo' do" Either a request for funds or Maureen Dowd has a new gig.

GOP is my home party. But, I am sad. Please help.

How do we convince Rick "1912 Man" Santorum and Newt "Fat and Marrying Man" Gingrich to buzz off?

They are destroying the chance to re-gain the White House.

They will destroy the Congressional candidates. We will lose the House.

They will make sure that GOP stays in the minority in the Senate.

Someone please talk to Rick and Newt. Or, please give advice to Mitt on how to tackle these two pre-historic men.

I am so sad that I can barely look at TV or follow politics on the web. I am just afraid, very afraid, very very afraid.

I've volunteered at a senior center here where I live.. sometimes you can tell they are eager to talk and share with someone.

I don't mean to brag.. but I've gotten a lot out of it.

Sublime.

He has a very welcoming way. Who would not desire a conversation with him? Even I, the avoidant one, would engage him at length.

Enjoyed his comments about being old.

"Life is you talk with people...you touch them in a sense."

This guy has figured it out. That is why God the Creator made Adam and his family, and why He made us ( male and female he made us,) with the ability of speech so we could enjoy having our own families on earth.

Keeping collectibles from travels is also a great comfort.

I wish I could be more like him. I have too much anger inside for my own good.

For instance, AP with the same post for the third time I've seen. For your own piece of mind AP! Step away from the talking points!

Don't worry! Be Happy! The angry sock monkey isn't going to win anything with unemployment creeping up alongside the price of gas. Or with dead mexicans from F&F. Or the first Wookie jetting hither and yon reliving the endless summer. Or any of the myriad scandals the MSM won't report.

I've had my welcome mat stolen twice since I've lived here.

Who the steals a welcome mat, and why? Why?

And my bicycle was also stolen.

So now I have low opinion of people generally regarding trustworthiness.

(I asked How instead of Who back there ↑ and erased it.)

The other day someone stole my dog-poop scooper. It was broken and poopy. How empty are you that you would steal a poopy broken poop scooper. I didn't mind losing the scooper, but the poop had sentimental value.

Get a custom welcome mat that reads, "Look up" and have a wireless camera placed above your door. Below the camera place a sign that says "Smile and walk away".

Felt claustrophobic just looking at the video.

I was locked out and sitting on the front porch. A senior from the apartments across the street walks by and sees me and says 'want to go for a walk?' I say yes and we walk to the park at the end of our cul de sac. She was a painter and I am one, sort of and we hit it off. This was our first week in our new house and new neighborhood. She dressed in high heels and put on make up and wore nice clothes. We talked about things as if there was no difference in age. She reminded me of my mother back home. Her daughter moved her away because riffraff was moving in to the apartment. She passed away couple of years ago.

I am a volunteer in the cardiac unit of a local hospital. Most of the patients there are elderly. I've been blessed by their kindness, humor, wisdom, and yes, even their crotchetiness every time I've interacted with them.
