Not one report of looting. The Japanese are a family.

Whereas we are DIVERSE! How wonderful. Not so wonderful should catastrophe strike. And it will. But, not to worry, since our betters have arranged it so what could possibly go wrong?

The one thing that the Nipponese know about is how to suck it up and soldier on.

a Volcano has a lot more environmental impacts than a nuke plant BTW. Aybody point out that the radiation release from a volcano much exceeds a nuke plant. and the higher plume means it goes farther.

The ash plume from the volcano may well reach the west coast of the US, and that is going to affect the weather. Cooler temperatures, more precipitation, likely a drop in crop production. That last could well cause even greater rises in food prices, not to mention a rise in the cost of ethanol a crops such as corn see a fall in production.

The eruption is going to have a bad effect on the US, and likely the rest of the world.

Too bad Irwin Allen isn't around.

This is a disaster movie.

(No, I'm not making light of it, the thought just occurred to me)
