There's a new feature-film biography titled "La Vie En Rose" all about the life of Edith Piaf.

Out in early June.

That was great. She's got a lovely manner and a good voice. And what a great pop song that is.

Maxine, thanks!

Bam, right onto my Netflix save queue with La Vie en Rose.

Here's hoping the music is unadulterated.

Regarding the banjo babe, apparently she likes to spell it Mercedezzz. Here is a link to her YouTube stuff, and here is a link to her Bossa Nova Banjo web page.

She was so intent on getting the notes right, at times, she drifted off the vocals.
When she got through a difficult part of her play correctly, she was soooo happy she couldn't help but laugh.
Really good stuff.

Paul: Thanks. Wow. She is soooo lovable! I keep thinking she's about to cross the line into insufferably cutesy, but I just can't seem to object to it.

To hear other breathtakingly little-known Brian Wilson/Beach Boys songs, dig deep into their late '60s albums...

Check out "Our Prayer," a 1:09 acapella tune from the Friends 20/20 twofer....

Or "Country Air" from Smiley Smile/Wild Honey

The ultimate mind-blower is "'Til I Die" from "Surf's Up."

Not a good song to listen to if you're A.J. on 'The Sopranos,' but it's as oceanic as you'll get in this life.
