Another radio doodle.

I was just on Pundit Radio Review. Did you listen? Lots of sound clips and music swirling in and about the commentary. Very different from the Public Radio ambience I'm used to -- and also in quite a different place politically -- but quite fun. So here's the doodle:

See if you can explain it!

My analysis: it's a self-portrait. You carry quite a load on those high heels! A busy, swarming load of ideas. It's hard to say whether the doodle reveals what you've really got going on "inside" (hate that word) or whether all those ideas actually conceal you from sight, like a squid's cloud of ink. (Your most naked moment, I thought, was about the death of Elvis and the imperviousness of your own family. Oddly, that particular time all your commenters were impervious, too.)

I can't explain it. But whose Jeff?

There's something very Henry VIII or Louis XIV about those legs.

I noticed a pattern in my doodling that may be reflected in this doodle(although my doodles are a lot less artistic than your doodles). Whenever I got swirly, with lots of curves and ovals, my creative juices were flowing and I was making connections between ideas being discussed. When I decided to speak, I'd glance at my doodle. Swirly meant I had a real contribution. Spiky meant I was irritated by the wasted time and blather of others.

You did a fine job on the show last night. I was surprised that instead of leading off with the Roberts hearings, the hosts went for a topic (gay marriage) where there would likely be some disagreement with their guest. Was that a strategy for stirring up controversy, I wonder, or is it just that for social conservatives in Massachusetts these days, gay marriage is the Big Issue?

Russell: Gay marriage is just a very big topic in Massachusetts right now, but I also got the sense the host was very concerned about the subject (along with abortion).

Jeff was a caller's name.
